REMEMBER YOUR FIRST LOVE:
Your first love? No, not that boyfriend long ago, but the reason you FIRST became involved in Scrapbooking;
To record your families photos in a safe, long lasting, and creative way.
The danger today is to forget our 'first love' and love the creativity so much that the photo can get lost.
This is being written by a Graphic Artist. Creativity is my middle name. However, it bothers me to look at the plethora of Scrapbook magazines. Most have one photo on a 12x12 page, surrounded by who-knows-what and then more! Do these people have an album for every month of the year, plus a room just to house all their scrapbooks? They'll need an index system just to find the photos from last year's summer picnic.
I was happy to see the Simple Scrapbooks magazine come out.. The editors must feel that there is a large component of scrappers that do the majority of their albums in a more simple style. Don't be intimated by those who design a page just to 'get published'. If you look at their pages, they usually have only one photo on the page, with paper this, paper that, all held together with this and that embellishment.
Remember your 'first love' and get those photos down in a safe, long lasting...and creative way.

P.S.
Sally has also put together a special booklet which provides many verses of inspiration, it is entitled
'Pillars of Stone'.
